About Emily
Bio
Emily Tyndall is a clarinetist based in Nashville, TN. She completed a bachelor's degree in instrumental performance at the Schwob School of Music at Columbus State University in Columbus, GA. Emily then went on to complete a master's degree in music performance (orchestral studies) at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, UK.
While studying at Guildhall, Emily had the opportunity perform in many masterclasses featuring preeminent clarinetists, including Andrew Marriner, Mark Nuccio, and Eddie Daniels. She also performed as a member of Guildhall's symphony orchestra and opera orchestra as well as the conservatoire's Ubu Ensemble, which programed contemporary and avant-garde works exclusively.
Emily is currently the principal clarinetist with the Nashville Philharmonic Orchestra in Nashville, TN, and a founding member of the all-female mixed instrumental ensemble Sound Riot. In May 2017, she premiered Cristina Spinei's Concerto for Clarinet and String Orchestra as part of the Cincinnati Soundbox's New Concerto Project. Emily has also appeared with as a featured soloist with the Atlanta Community Symphony Orchestra and the Schwob Philharmonic. In addition to performing, Emily also teaches clarinet, flute, and elementary piano privately. Emily's latest projects include creating multi-track videos for YouTube and live-streaming on Twitch.
